The long awaited game, BioShock is finally released on 21st Aug 2007, in PC and Xbox360 and received very good rating from game reviewers across the globe, most of them are 9.0 and above over 10. BioShock is said to be the spiritual successor to System Shock 2, a usual candidate in top PC games of all time, and one of the first FPS game to incorporate RPG style into it. Both games are from the same developers, so expectations are high for the game.
The game takes place in an underwater city called Rapture, and the story revolves around the struggle for power between 2 powerful men in the city and genetic enhancement called Plasmids, such as Telekinesis, Lightning Bolt, Incinerate (just like the screenshot above, BURN!!!), etc. There are more than 70 plasmids upgrades in the game. WOOT!! Imagine playing a FPS game with spells at your disposal!!
You assume the role of Jack, the sole survivor of a plane crash, and you must explore Rapture in order to escape and survive the disaster. It seems that when Jack enters Rapture, almost everyone in the city had already turned crazy due to the side effect of the genetic enhancements, and they become very desperate for any ADAM (will be explained below) they can find.
