Sorry about that! Yes, it was a bandwidth issue…traffic has been overwhelming. FYI, we’re using roughly more than half a tetrabyte per month…and the amount is steadily increasing each day. Even 4MBps dedicated bandwidth is not enough, so we have to increase some more…
The site and ad serving was down for about 5-10 minutes actually (as you can see from the comments..”eh, why your ads still showing). I was at a petrol station when it happened, trying to get the the last car in the Shell Ferrari series, I have the whole set except the last one.
Anyway, back to the story, I got an sms notifying me of the downtime, and all that was needed was a quick call to the host, and it was back up
PS: We use http://www.montastic.com to monitor our domain uptimes, we find it very useful. Thanks for letting us know! Also thanks to those who have e-mailed/sms us on this.
PS: Anyone got the last car (the f50) in the Shell/Ferarri series? I have all except the last one…
