Open Question to Nuffnang
Lets say, I have 3 blogs under Nuffnang, and out of that 3 blogs, 1 has another local ad in it.
So, I have 2 blogs which are exclusive to Nuffnang and another one is not.
Here’s the question: Am I still an exclusive member to Nuffnang if I have at least one blog exclusive to Nuffnang?
Hongkiat has rephrased the question for me. Is Glitterati a blogger exclusive program or blog exclusive program?
I can see about 3 possible answers to that question: Yes, No, Limited.
Yes and No is pretty much self-explanatory. Limited however is kinda interesting; only that particular blog(s) which are exclusively to Nuffnang will be eligible for Nuffnang’s Glitterati.
But anyway that’s just my 2 cents. There’s no official word on this at the moment (or maybe there is, but I missed that out). Even other local ad companies (particularly the one which caused a lot of havoc recently) didn’t mention about this small little detail.
Tim, any comments?
Update: Nuffnang has replied!
Dear Aaron,
Hi there, I’m Michelle from Nuffnang. We noticed on your blog about the open question to Nuffnang, and would like to take this opportunity to clear things up for you.
To put it the way Hongkiat did, Glitterati is actually a blogger exclusive program, tied to your Nuffnang account and not the blog itself, which means that if you have any blogs with ad scripts from other South East Asian blog advertising networks, you will not be eligible for Glitterati.
I hope you understand where I’m coming from and please feel free to ask me if there may be any other questions on your mind.
Thank you and have a nice day.:)
Best Regards,
Michelle Tan

i think you better email them too. if they dun read your post, they can\’t answer you here.
January 16th, 2008 at 8:17 amBase on my account, I think you need to remove all the other local ads scripts from all the blogs you added to your nuffnang account.
January 16th, 2008 at 10:24 amI’ll see this thing as a question of “blogger exclusivity” or “blog exclusivity”. Timothy will have to let you know about this.
If it’s about Blogger exclusivity, any blog declared with Nuffnang should only have Nuffnang ads, and your are in Glitterati.
Or if its only Blog exclusivity, then remove other SE Asia ads on any blog, leaving alone Nuffnang should get you in Glitterati.
I’d say the question here stays at – Glitterati is a blogger exclusive program or blog exclusive program.
January 16th, 2008 at 12:31 pmNow this has made me even more confused. For all i know, it clearly states No other ad network besides Nuffnang must be in your blog then do you qualify for the Glitterati program.

January 16th, 2008 at 12:47 pmzzz if like that its better for me to seperate nuffNang account
January 16th, 2008 at 7:36 pmBut..but…according to the website, it mentioned Glitterati means no other advertising network in your blog wor…it did not said in your account wor.
So if by right, i have no advertisement from other network in my blog then should qualify for glitterati already right? So why should i not be given glitterati if i have SEA advertisement in another blog? How is my this blog connected to another blog? Something is not right here….
Either they have to change the definition from blog to account or they need to change their payment according to blogs instead of account. Since they are saying their crawlers would crawl blogs and not account right?
January 18th, 2008 at 12:13 amnotadmin: yeah I’ve already did. =)
PutraEmas: I think so too but the other scenario sounds viable as well.. so wasn’t too sure until Nuffnang cleared it out.
hongkiat: good point there. i’ve updated my post. =D
danny foo: well unfortunately nuffnang’s t&c didn’t state any of those clear enough.. so the only way to know is to ask them directly..
merdurian: well if you have 4-5 blogs like me, i don’t think i’d have multiple accounts. waste time and it’s troublesome.. after all, i’m blogging because of passion.. not money. =)
creating extra accounts i don’t think it’s a problem, assuming that they allow it la. don’t forget that they’ll be sending out checks to your name.. so they’ll know when u have extra accounts. unless you have another name =P
dewi: well as i’ve mentioned in my reply to danny foo’s comment, it’s not clear what they meant. the word blog, blogs and account is 3 different things altogether.. even on the other advertising companies didn’t mention about this (if they had an exclusive program like nuffnang).
i think now their only problem is the definition. it’s confusing people up. about their crawlers, i think what they meant is they would crawl all the blogs in your account to see whether you’re eligible for the program.. well i hope they do crawl all the blogs in the account rather than just the main one..
