Windows Live Messenger Upgrade Aftermath
I’m not sure whether those who upgraded to Windows Live Messenger’s latest version, or is it the whole KL (maybe whole Malaysia..) are having problems connecting.. Started having this problem from 3PM onwards today..
I keep getting this error code: 81000314..
According to Live.com’s help pages:
Error 81000314, 81000377 or 81000378: Your contact list is not availableIf you receive one of these messages, your contact list is not available or is in read-only mode. Wait a few minutes, and then try to sign in again.
But it’s more than 7 hours already!! Is it Telekom Malaysia’s problem or Microsoft’s?
Web based IMs like Meebo.com are working though - because they run their protocols from their servers? So if follow this assumption, it seems it’s more towards Telekom’s fault..
Bad timing.. First upgrading maintainance from midnight onwards.. now downed MSN.. I’m sure i’ll struggle to finish up all my assignments..
Update: It seems that my bittorrent download isn’t affected at all.. I wonder why..

Eve: i’m not sure.. the old windows messenger (the one bundled with windows) seems to be working at that time.. had a few friends connected using that.. but anyways, i was able to connect around 1am today..
