Male & Female Connectors
While reading my Data Communication & Networks notes, i just got really curious why they name the jacks/connectors as female or male. I mean.. it’s not like if u wanna connect your PC to the LAN u need your pc have sex with the router/switch.. it’s damn weird..
I mean, why used the female and male term? I say the person who first determine the name for the type of jacks is a pervert… Lets see a few examples of jacks.
Male Jacks:
This one is quite common if u use hifi or….. hifis. 
Then there’s the double male jacks.
I wonder am i turning any girls on..
Anyways.. more MALE jacks:

Then there’s the one where we use for networks..

And here are some variations of the same head on other wires.
There on the right most, is a female connector. Usually BIG and FAT. No idea why… Is it suppose to resemble the reality?

The red light will obviously light up when a male jack is plugged in. Usually means data sending is in progress..

Anyways, the reason why i said female jacks are always big is because.. they are always stucked together with other female jacks.. so usually it gets crowded.. Like this:
BIG, FAT and a WHOLE LOT OF THEM! That teaches you not to mess with the female jacks. Mess with one, whole thing merajuk. Believe me.. Happened before to me.
Maybe that’s why they call it a MotherBoard.
