Dell Malaysia New Notebook Lineup

Dell Malaysia has just recently announced 4 new models to add to their current lineup. Some replacing older models like the Dell XPS M1210 which I just recently bought (dang!)

The new models are Inspiron 1420, Inspiron 1520, Inspiron 1720 and XPS M1330. The model number represents the screen size of each notebook. (1420 features a 14.2 inch screen, and so forth)

All the new Laptop models features Intel Core 2 Duo and Windows Vista and has built in Bluetooth. It also comes with an optional Blu-ray Disc Drive (BD/DVD/CD Burner with dual layer capability) and an Intel 4965AGN 802.11n Mini Card.

Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars Patch 1.06

A newer patch has been released for this game. Click here to view the latest patch. Click here to view the no-dvd patch.

Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars Patch 1.06 is out!

This patch is mainly for multiplayer/online players as it addresses and fix possible exploits during an online match. Not a critical update. Here’s a breakdown of what the patch is for.

Tracking Disconnects – Changed the way that disconnects are reported. Now, whenever the game detects that a disconnect has occurred in a 1v1 match, both players are awarded a disconnect stat — neither player is given a win or loss stat.

Exploits – Fixed an exploit that caused any unit or structure to become invincible if force-fired upon by a Mammoth Tank that had been upgraded with Rail Guns.

Other Bugs

  • Fixed a bug that caused the Nod Cloaking Field power to deduct up to 6,000 credits from the Operations Center. The power now correctly deducts 3,000 credits.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players in the online lobbies to /tell and /invite users that had marked them to be ignored.
  • Players can no longer send /tell messages to other players as observers during a multiplayer match.
  • Fixed a hang that occurred when users typed /friend or /invite without a corresponding name.

You can download the patch (134.0 MB) at these following websites:

  • English (Normal & Kane Editions) [ftp]
  • German (Normal Edition) [ftp]
  • German (Kane Edition) [ftp]

For other languages beside these two (Spanish, French, Italian, Swedish, Hungarian, Czech, Dutch, Korean, Polish, Russian, Thai and Chinese) you can visit the Command and Conquer Patch website. Alternatively, you can download this patch/update from the Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars Control Panel. A No-CD/No-DVD/Fixed-EXE patch has been also released for this patch.

BTW, patch 1.07 should be out soon, and I heard it’s a critical update.

A better way to calculate complex multiplications

Remember this one about performing multiplications using a pencil, paper and drawing a few lines and boxes?

This is better. You’ll want it.

Truth behind APIIT’s winning at the Intervarsity Programming Competition

This was on webspace for some time already.

I can’t help it but to say, it’s an exaggerated picture.

If you’re following my side-notes updates, I provided a little coverage on the event.

We didn’t win anything. Main prizes were for the top 3 teams in the 2nd round. We didn’t qualify for the 2nd round.

Teams who didn’t win anything went home with a consolation prize.

Okay, maybe I’m just upset I wasn’t mentioned. :P

How to type upside down

So you wondered how I did it?

To be honest, I didn’t know. :P I got it off a forum and used our favorite copy/paste action.

But TzeLun found out (wakakaa. kena tipu.) So here’s how I did it, with a converter:

Go to Techdo.com to try it out.

Update: Try it out yourself here! Type the text you want to flip in the original text box and press Flip. Your upside down text will then be shown!
