For the past 2-3 days i’ve been looking for alternatives to wordpress.com..
I first tried with wordpress providers like theblog.cc and blogsome.com.. but it’s either too much features that i don’t need or i cant put in features what i want.. theblog.cc was okay, but i MUST post within 3 days else my blog will be reviewed for deletion.. knowing me, hangat hangat cili padi (correct idiom ar?), hangat hangat tahi ayam, sure it will be gone by the end of the month.. besides that, i can’t find a way for me to import all my posts here to theblog.cc..there is an import feature, but doesnt support importing wordpress.com’s xml backup..
Next, free hosting with php & mysql to host wordpress 2.0.. found a few.. not bad.. but i can’t install wordpress..
AtHost.net was the first one i tried.. gave me 50mb space.. and some 100mb bandwidth i think.. AND no ads.. so gave it a try.. after uploading wordpress to the server, it says that i have used up 0% of my 50mb.. hmm.. maybe its me, i duno where to upload.. or.. there’s something wrong with the server.. so i moved on…
Trap17.net was the next best candidate.. but with a 60 pixel ad at the top.. one thing i realised is, they are using the same interface that athost.net was using.. ok la.. nvm lor.. try lor… upload everything nicely.. tried to run a page first, works… then tried to install… problem. kenot install.. so how? try again and again.. asked randolph to help as well.. but.. he oso not sure coz never used wordpress before.. soo.. entah lah..
My boss gave me an alternative tho.. since the bowling club has been given a Wordpress blog (it’s still empty.. no post or customisation made to that place yet..) to post about all our events, etc, using wordpress as a blogging software.. boss told me he will try to gimme the log in to apiit’s server and test out my installation there.. ^_^ well if it works, maybe i installed it wrongly to Trap17.net’s server… or.. memang kenot use on that server.. so gotta wait for the login, if he could get it..
While waiting.. decided to try myself to host it on my laptop, for a while la.. just to ‘test’ my skills.. got the Baby Server software boss mentioned in class… pretty simple and easy.. but i noticed it only supports html and asp only.. no php.. dead end there.. nvm lor.. just wanna try whether i can really host one on my laptop… got a dyndns.com account.. locked my ip address to their servers.. and tried to load a simple Hello World page.. doesnt load.. sigh.. maybe i should try no-ip.com instead..
Well.. i think i gotta wait till i finish my IA subject before trying any of this for now.. *hopes to learn alot!!*

Day 2
Woke up nearly 6.30am to catch the sunrise at the huge rock near our chalet.. but got the time totally wrong.. it was 1 hour earlier.. Went back for breakfast, acceptable food..
After makan, went for a quick dip at a smaller beach near our chalet.. with the cut and bruises i had.. i had a nice “Oww… Aahhhh…” for some time.. [btw, that's a painful cry.. not something exciting]
About 1030, our 2nd snorkeling trip began.. went to turtle island.. or was it turtle beach..? went with my sandals this time.. Extra paddles..

Since I became President (unwillingly) I organised a few tournaments for the club. this is my 2nd tournament.. Quite the havoc oso lah…
Tournament is to select bowlers to go for the MAPCU intercollege bowling tournament hosted by sunway college (boo..!!). I set the format of this competition unknowingly similar to the MAPCU tournament.. So well, lucky me..
As a procastinator, i have this 'talk alot, do little' habit.. Wanted to start the campaigning 2 weeks before the tournament, but got lazy and in the end, started 1 week before the actual tournament.. 1 week to promote the tournament..
Promoted with a big poster (which i couldnt find. duno where my members put it)
3rd day of promotion was my trip to Redang.. so i let my committee members handle everything for a while.. When I came back…. only 2 teams applied for the tournament.. 1 day before the big day..
There's even a student complained to me about the format of the competition because its hard to form a team.. emailed me and my boss (who is my lecturer for 3rd sem.. and the one nearly failed me in my 1st sem..) gave him a looooooong reply.. but was satisfying enough. =)

Reason why i wanna eat at Bukit Tinggi was because on the day i came back from Redang, bus pass by bukit tinggi.. Wanted to eat the bacon.. ^_^
I love the bacon there.. ^_^
25 mins up + RM4 toll..
eat for 1.5 hours or so for RM140+ (fish was expensive.. RM80+)
came back down 25 mins + another RM4 toll
Kinda dissappointed with the bacon this time tho.. not crunchy enough.. =(
But it was nice ^_^
